The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has stated that the state Police Command is working to neutralise the threats posed by separatist teams, together with the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and agitators for Oodua Republic.
Odumosu, who made this known in a security summit on Monday, May 10, stated the police is also investigating the menace by IPOB to attack soft targets in Lagos.
In accordance with him, “The Command has taken notice of agitators for Oodua Republic by some Yoruba separatist teams and the threats to disrupt law and order within the state. Twenty-four of those teams have been identified and being carefully monitored.

Equally, the specter of IPOB to attack mushy targets in Lagos is equally being placed on the radar of the command intelligence gathering and different safety services within the state. Methods are being put in place to neutralise their actions.
The Command is utilizing this medium to solicit for the help of one and all to be vigilant always and report any suspicious individual or motion to security agencies. Allow us to adopt the slogan of ‘when you see something, say something’.
